I never thought I would succeed in getting him this close. And the fact still holds that women are a man’s bane. However, there was something different about him. This warmth always emanated from him. I felt safe with him, and surprisingly, I had forgotten about the anger and hatred planted inside me for a very long time. His personality was beginning to rub off on me, and I could do nothing to stop it from happening.

I was secretly enjoying the time we had spent together, and something in me never wanted it to end but instead wanted to let it roll and enjoy the moment before it was stolen. Was this how every girl felt when she met the right one? So I decided to follow him to his home for two reasons: one was to get a massive base for my operations without extra caution, and the second was my comfort in his presence. If I enslaved him, I doubt he would still have that aura that compels people into liking him. It would be something I would truly miss.

We had been walking silently for a while before Aiden broke the silence. “We have arrived, Cal, or should I say Calamity?” He said, slightly teasing me. I smiled, giving him a slight nudge. No one has ever teased me carefreely, and I fell for him. I may hold off from using the death-calling powers on him yet.

His home was unique and the same house I landed on a month ago. Aiden’s home looked like a magnificent chateau. As I walked through the doors of Aiden's home, I was met with a grand entrance hall stretching for miles. The walls were adorned with gold and silver tapestries, and the floors were made of gleaming marble that reflected the light that streamed in from the tall windows.

To my right was a grand staircase that spiraled up to the second floor, where the bedrooms and private chambers were located. The staircase was polished oak, and the railings were intricately carved with delicate patterns and designs.

To my left was a massive dining room with a table that could seat twenty people simultaneously. The table was solid oak, and the chairs were upholstered in the finest silk. As I continued my tour of the mansion, I was struck by the sheer size of the place. It seemed to go on forever, with room after room filled with priceless artifacts, art, and sculptures.

Shelves of leather-bound books were in the library, each more valuable than the last. The room was filled with the scent of aged paper and leather, and the cozy armchairs and roaring fireplace made it the perfect spot to curl up with a good book.
